HIT awarded with the Kings Award for Voluntary Service 2023!

We are truly honored to receive The King’s Award for Voluntary Service. This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire Herts Inclusive Theatre team, including our wonderful trustees and ambassadors. We couldn’t have achieved this without the support of our incredible community and supporters. Your encouragement motivates us to continue our mission of making performing arts accessible to all. Together, we are creating inclusive and enriching experiences for children, young people, and adults. Thank you for being part of our journey!

The award is given to local volunteer groups across the UK to recognise their outstanding commitment to their community.

At Herts Inclusive Theatre, making a positive impact in the local community is at the heart of our mission. Through our inclusive performing arts programs, we strive to create a vibrant and supportive environment where everyone, regardless of ability, can participate and thrive. Our weekly workshops, holiday activities, and commissioned projects are designed to not only provide enriching experiences but also to promote inclusivity and diversity.

We believe in the transformative power of the arts, and we witness firsthand how it can empower individuals, foster creativity, and build a sense of community. By working primarily with children and adults with disabilities, we aim to break down barriers and create opportunities for personal and artistic growth. The dedication of our team, trustees, and ambassadors, along with the support of our community, enables us to continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

Thank you to King Charles for recognising the impact of Herts Inclusive Theatre in the local community. We are committed to continuing our efforts to ensure that performing arts remain accessible to all, fostering a more inclusive and connected society.
