We were honoured to be nominated for this year’s Chairman’s Culture Award at the Audentior Awards, and even more delighted to win it!
It was a fantastic evening spent with some brilliant local charities and organisations in Watford which we were proud to be part of.
HIT’s Director, Caroline Stevens, collected the awards on HIT’s behalf along with one of our participants, Katie Maguire, a young learning disabled lady who started with HIT in 2001 moving from our children’s theatre through to youth theatre.
Caroline said “We have been working in the Watford area for ten years so to have been nominated for this category and to be recognised alongside some of the town’s inspirational charities and people is fantastic. We were absolutely over the moon to win the award, and delighted to have Katie with us on the evening as a representative of all of our wonderful participants. At the end of the day, everything the organisations does is participant led and focused, so this award is achieved by them and their hard work and commitment to HIT.”
