After a fun filled summer of holiday activities, our weekly theatre groups are back for their autumn term! Our new Lead Project Facilitator for our Childrens and Youth Theatres, Rosie Cosgrove, is excited to welcome back participants from the summer term and meet new participants joining us!
“It has been a fantastic start to the Autumn term with a huge variety of performance techniques being introduced. I am thrilled to be exploring many skills with the groups including crafting puppets, puppetry manipulation, music, dance, pantomime, script work, and improvisation. With four diverse and exciting productions coming up it’s sure to be a lively and fun filled winter/spring season. ” – Rosie Cosgrove, Lead Project Facilitator Children and Youth
This term, our Watford Children’s and Youth Theatre groups will be experimenting with puppetry and putting together performances of Room on the Broom and A Christmas Carol. Our Borehamwood Childrens and Youth Theatres will be creating and rehearsing a pantomime version of The Wizard of Oz, and our Hemel Childrens and Youth Theatres are enjoying some team building workshops before starting rehearsals for a production of Pinnochio to be performed in the new year.
Our adult theatre group Acting Up, have already begun rehearsing songs from Hairspray the Musical with our Lead Project Facilitator for our Adult Theatres, Emma Harrington. Both our adult groups, Acting Up and Get Set Perform, will be performing at Harrow Disability Arts Festival in November.
