Our third HIT Be Yoga Workshop ran this February half term at Feel Hot Yoga and Wellbeing Cafe in Watford. The workshop was for 4 – 10 year olds of all abilities and used breathing techniques, mindfulness games, movement and yoga poses. The aim of the workshop is to improve children’s relaxation, focus and concentration in a fun, calm and safe environment.
Participants enjoyed the workshops and parents could see the benefits from their child taking part. One parent said, “I would definitely bring my children back and would encourage friends to participate as well.” Another parent also said, “I think there are lots of general sports holiday clubs but I thought this was nice in that it was slightly different. Wellbeing is a huge priority in my children’s schools and it’s very important to me for my children as well so this really seemed to focus on the things that were important to me.”
We have enjoyed seeing the positive effects these workshops bring to participants and will be holding more HIT Be Yoga and Wellbeing workshops throughout future school holidays.
