On Sunday the 30th of June 2019 we held our fifth annual Heart of HIT Awards. The event was held at Vicarage Football Stadium in Watford and celebrated the achievements of all 90 of our participants from the past year. We were delighted to be joined by over 100 guests for the afternoon of which included the High Sheriff of Hertfordshire Sarah Beazley, Deputy Lieutenant Vinay Tanna, the Mayor of Watford Peter Taylor and the Mayor of Hertsmere Councillor Alan Plancey.
With 8 inclusive theatre groups based in Watford, Borehamwood, Rickmansworth, Hemel Hempstead and Stanmore and over 90 participants, ranging from age 5 to 87, the event is a special occasion which brings together the families and friends of everyone involved with Herts Inclusive
Theatre. One person from each group is nominated by their peers to receive an award for their hard work and dedication at their group over the past year.
We presented our annual Special Award to Emma Harrington, who stepped down earlier this year as Producer after leading at the organisation for 10 years. We presented a Lifetime Achievement award to Pat Moloney, who stepped down as their Chairman late in 2018 after 17 years of working with the organisation.
