Herts Inclusive Theatre is delighted to announce that we are winners of The Lloyds Bank Foundation Charity Achievement Award 2015 for 'Championing Change' in the East of England region.
Naturally, we are chuffed to bits that our work has been recognised and that our members performances are capturing hearts.
Our drama workshops are open to everyone and participants can express themselves creatively in an environment where difference from others is welcomed and supported. We offer a vibrant programme of theatre activities, creative projects and exciting performance opportunities for children, young people and adults. Our weekly drama workshops are designed to engage, stimulate and spark the imagination, whilst at the same time offering a safe and welcoming environment to learn new skills, make new friends and have lots of fun! A HIT workshop is an exploration of all things theatre.
Our inclusive ethos means we do not audition and we strongly believe that theatre should be accessible to everyone and as such are extremely proud to welcome those who are often excluded from mainstream opportunities.
In a statement, the Lloyds Bank Foundation said: “The Charity Achievement Awards have been created to recognise the amazing, life changing work of small and medium sized charities. The winners were selected from a strong field of charities across the region because of their achievements.”
