Artistic Director, Caroline Stevens (nee England)

Caroline has a BA in Drama, Community Theatre and Media from Winchester University. Caroline has been the Director at HIT since January 2009. Caroline is a freelance Theatre Director and has worked for Hertsmere, Watford and St Albans Borough Councils, Link Up, Watford New Hope Trust, Actability Theatre Company and The Larches Trust. Caroline was previously Administrator for London Bubble Theatre Company, Education Coordinator for Trestle Theatre Company and Srishti Dance Company and has worked for Harrow Arts Centre and The Theatre Royal. Caroline has experience of running drama workshops for Naomi House Children’s Hospice and at Hope Lodge, Osborne and ShaftesburySchools, all of which are specialist. Caroline is a volunteer for Shape Arts.

Caroline was nominated as a Torchbearer for the 2012 Paralympics. She also performed in the Paralympic Opening Ceremony.

emma harrington

Producer, Emma Harrington

Emma volunteered for HIT between 2005 and 2008, before taking up the role of Assistant Director in 2009, and Producer in 2010. Emma is a qualified reflexologist, and complimentary therapist. Previously Emma had a ten year background working in corporate event management. Emma is HIT’s main contact for fundraising events and corporate contacts. Emma has a eight year old son, who is seen regularly at workshops and watching our performances!!

Emma took part in the 2012 'Tough Mudder', a 12 mile assault course as a fundraising challenge for HIT.

Associate Director, Rosalyn (Rosie) Cosgrove

Rosalyn joined the company in 2015 having graduated from East 15 Acting school in 2014 with a BA(hons) in Acting and Community Theatre. Rosalyn is a Performer, Director and Drama facilitator who has worked with a whole range of companies such as: Age Exchange UK, Southend Youth Offenders Service, Scottish Youth Theatre, The National Citizens Service and Little Ticks Theatre Company.

carrie stephenson

Operations Co-ordinator, Carrie Stephenson

Carrie is one of the new additions to the team, joining in April 2016. Up until she had her little girl, Carrie could be found working in the corporate world but having finished her maternity leave she felt she wanted to do something more fulfilling. Carrie is really excited to be part of the HIT team and is already making a valuable contribution!

Communications Co-ordinator, Victoria Culf

Victoria began her thespian life training in dance and the performing arts from 5 years up until university age, when she graduated in fine art from Liverpool John Moores University specializing in sculpture, installation and performance in 2004. Victoria went on to train with London's Kinetika Arts Links International as a carnival artist in 2005 and has been working in carnival and community arts since as a freelance practitioner for festivals and events. Believing 'street art' can engage and benefit the wider community, Victoria has been delivering projects to schools and community groups in tandem with her creative practice. She is also a trained art therapist.

Finance and Admin Assistant (Part time), Janita Morrell

Janita can be found Front of House for all children's theatre groups and in the HIT office on a Monday morning.
